How to play

Outdraft reproduces the full competitive pick and ban phase used at every tier of tournament League of Legends: 6 bans, 6 picks, 4 more bans, 4 more picks, and role assignments at the end. Here is how to get through a first draft in under a minute.

1. Choose a game mode

2. Pick your side

Blue side gets first pick; red side gets last pick and can counter the enemy's final choice. In online series, sides swap automatically each round.

3. Optional: fearless draft

With fearless enabled, every champion picked in a previous round of the series is banned for the rest of the series. The champion pool shrinks fast — it rewards depth over one-tricking.

4. During the draft

5. Assign roles

Once your five picks are in, drag each champion to a lane (Top, Jungle, Mid, ADC, Support). Any champion can be placed in any role — it's up to you to justify it.

6. Read the report

After both teams have assigned roles, Outdraft generates a draft analysis: composition strengths (poke, engage, wave clear, scaling…), notable matchups by lane, and a numeric score out of 10. In online series the score is combined with your pick/ban points to produce a final round rating.

7. Scoring in online series

Every action you make during the draft is compared against the AI's top-15 recommendations for that exact game state:

At the end of the round your action points are scaled to a 0–10 value (min(10, action_pts / 750 × 10), so 750 points or more caps the action score at 10). That is combined with the draft analysis score using:

round score = 0.1 × action score + 0.9 × draft score

Round scores are added together across the series — the player with the highest total when the series ends wins. Standings and the full breakdown (action points, scaled action score, draft score, weighted round score) are shown between rounds and on the final screen.
